Lower eyelid blepharoplasty is usually performed as an outpatient procedure. Typically, this type of eyelid surgery is performed under twilight (monitored anesthesia care or MAC) anesthesia. Occasionally, lower lid blepharoplasty can be performed under local anesthesia in the office.
